Questions about carbon monoxide alarm?

Questions about carbon monoxide alarm?
Every since I first got the alarm, it has always stayed a steady red when plugged in. Well this morning it was chirping at intervals of 30 secs. ( thought battery needed replacing) so I replaced the batteries and the chirping has subsided but there is still the steady red light that’s been on there since day one. The brand of the detector is first alert. So is everything fine now?
Additional Details
The power light is red on the alarm, I just replaced batteries and tested it, it was definitely the batteries, the other alarm is very loud comparably

do carbon monoxide alarms work well?

I was wondering whether carbon monoxide alarms work well? I’m looking for a decent one to install in my lounge, to monitor the gas fire we have.

Would one like this be ok?

is the light supposed to be red on my carbon monoxide detector??

i have a first alert plug-in carbon monoxide detector that was given to me by my roomates mom but she didn’t give us the users manual. there is only one light on it, and it’s been red ever since she gave it to us which was like 2 or 3 months ago. the alarm itself has never went off, and we’ve tested it a couple times. but a friend of ours came over today and told us that the red light is a warning light and it’s a bad sign. should i be worried or is it supposed to be that way??

Carbon Monoxide Dector From First Alert: Steady red light & chirping every 20 seconds or so.?

What does this mean? I have a First Alert: Carbon Monoxide Detector and the red light is steady and there is a chirping. I do not know what the alarm sounds like so I’m wondering if maybe the alarm is going off? (I have moved to fresh air) Could it be that the battery is dead?

Kidde Carbon Monoxide detector at constant beep. Emergency?

My family’s Kidde carbon monoxide detector went off with a really long, loud, and constant beep this afternoon.
My dad thought the battery needs changing so he just changed one battery.
At 8pm this evening the detector went off again with the same sound when no one was home and the super (we live in an apartment complex) just took out the batteries and put them back in.
I just came home and found out that the alarm went off and I’m very concerned.
I just changed ALL the batteries now.
Its there Carbon Monoxide in the air? Is this an emergency?
I called the non-emergency fire dept # and they didnt answer so I left a message.
Now I’m debating whether or not I should call 911.
