Carbon Monoxide alarm beeped?

I have a kidde carbon monoxide alarm, but it is frustrating because it sounds like a door creaking and not its own distinct noise. I heard either a door creak or the alarm go off 2 times, then i reset/tested it, it beeped 5 or six times. does this mean i have carbon monoxide? i really need to replace that alarm, kidde doesn’t make very good alarms.
