your nose can detect the gas.
did you know that natural gas is oderless?
they actually add something to it so YOU can detect a leak.
Im not sure but there is a colour sticker you can get that simply changes colour when there is a carbon monoxide leak! best thing to do is ask the fire brigade for advice I think. Gd luck!

They aren’t much of a detector at all. I would not trust them.
